Bishop Kmiec Jubilee Mass

During his seven years in the Diocese of Buffalo Bishop Edward U. Kmiec has celebrated quite a few Masses, many of which Daybreak TV Productions have recorded.

On October 30, 2011 Bishop Edward U. Kmiec celebrated 50 years as a priest, 29 years as a bishop and seven years as shepherd for the Diocese of Buffalo. The honor was highlighted at the jubilee Mass held at St. Joseph Cathedral.

Daybreak videotaped the Mass and have made the celebration available on DVD.

Along with Bishop Kmiec, there were 12 bishops who attended the celebration, some of whom were his classmates in Rome. Also at the Mass were fellow priests, women religious and lay faithful.

Bishop Kmiec turned 75 on June 4^th 2011, and as prescribed by Canon Law, he submitted his letter of resignation to Pope Benedict XVI. There is no timetable for the announcement of the next Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo.
