Campus Chat - Niagara University

“Campus Chat with Bishop Richard J. Malone” is a half hour program that allows college students the opportunity to sit down with a Bishop and chat, just chat, about whatever’s on their mind, no scripts, no pretenses, no judgements, just honesty.

In this second episode, Bishop Malone traveled to Niagara University, located in the town of Lewiston in Niagara County, NY. Niagara University educates its students and enriches their lives through programs and career preparation, informed by the Catholic and Vincentian traditions. Approximately 20 students gathered on campus in the Castellani Art Museum, and chatted with Bishop Malone. Topics of discussion included: gun violence, suffering, gluten-free hosts, and outreach to neighbors in need.

If you want to sit in on the chat, tune in, Saturday, April 21, at 5p.m. on WKBW-TV Channel 7, to watch “Campus Chat with Bishop Richard J. Malone.”  Please subscribe to the Daybreak TV Production YouTube Channel, where the entire “Campus Chat” program can be viewed beginning on April 22nd.  Also remember to “like” us on Facebook @Daybreak TV Productions and on Instagram @daybreak716 to see behind the scenes photos and videos of “Campus Chat.”

Polish Palm Weaving

Daybreak Productions is proud to be part of an ongoing video series, "From Table to Altar and Back", documenting the intimate bond between the Polish American family and church during Holy Week and Easter. This project is spearheaded by Rev. Dr. Czesław M. Krysa, author and renowned expert on PolAm family spirituality and ritual, as well as documented community leader and master artist.

Just released before Palm Sunday are three palm weaving tutorials which surround the holiday. Featured are experts in the creation of the Polish Flower Palm Branch, The Crown of Thorns Weave, and the Italian Cross & Heart Weave. During the tutorials there are also pleasant stories of traditions and memories shared by Father Krysa and the artists themselves.

"in a Word"

in a word…Fun.
in a word…Fresh.
in a word… Faith-filled.

“in a WORD” is back with interesting topics delivered by a familiar face! Fr. Dave Richards continues to produce videos with a solid Catholic message. His up-beat delivery draws you in as you listen to his powerful reflections. A few topics that Fr. Dave will focus on this time around are: Risk, Trust, Shame and Faith.

Joining the “in a WORD” team is Sarah Saltarelli, a Youth Minister at Annunciation Parish in Elma, NY. Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, Sarah earned a BA in Clinical Psychology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, located in Steubenville, Ohio. She was a Missionary with Life Teen Summer Camp in Georgia and was involved in Totus Tuus a Catechetical program in Colorado. Sarah combines her knowledge of the Catholic faith with her experience and understanding of youth and young adults. The result is a video reflection that connects the youths to the faith in fun way! So far Sarah has tackled the issues of Identity and Priorities!

These short inspirational/teachable reflections can be found on the Daybreak TV Production YouTube Channel and will be distributed on the Daybreak TV Production Facebook page on Sundays.
