Daybreak TV Productions and Crosswater Digital Media have teamed up once again, this time on the Proving Holiness documentary. Since the pair last worked together, Crosswater’s headquarters in Buffalo, NY has undergone significant upgrades. Daybreak and Crosswater recorded Andre Braugher’s voice-over for the documentary Enduring Faith (winner of a 2000 Telly Award) and knew they could rely on the ISDN line (integrated services digital network) to record Martin Sheen’s narration for Proving Holiness. Martin Sheen was at ‘POP Sound’ studio in Santa Monica, CA and had direct communication with Daybreak producers and the Crosswater sound engineer through the ISDN line.
In addition to providing the audio layback of Sheen’s voice-over, Crosswater’s own John Adamo was asked to compose a musical score for the hour-long documentary. Proving Holiness premiered on All Saints Day at the Montante Center and will broadcast on WNED Ch. 17 on Dec. 3rd at 9:30 p.m.
Crosswater Digital Media prides itself on "sound results", which their website describes as "award-winning professionals with a solid track record." They produce any style of music needed for various projects besides feature-length documentaries; jingles for commercials, original music for the video-gaming industry, theme songs for PGA Magazine on ESPN and a comedy series on PBS.
With Proving Holiness, John Adamo had a goal of staying true to each section of the documentary. There are four candidates examined, each in a different phase of the canonization process. Adamo said, "Each of the segments in Proving Holiness had a personality of their own, and I wanted to make sure that I created music that not only captured the spirit of each of the candidates but will bring the listener back to the time when they had lived."
