IBC Digital to work with Daybreak on "Drop with Faith"

By: Jim White

It’s been a few years since Daybreak TV Productions and IBC Digital worked together but recent interest in an animated project called "Drop with Faith" has sparked a new collaboration.
IBC Digital worked with Daybreak on the graphic title for documentary "Proving Holiness", narrated by Martin Sheen, about the process of becoming a saint. When the idea to recreate the 8 minute children’s story was brought up, the Daybreak brass knew it would be a great opportunity for both IBC and Daybreak to work together again.
When given the choice, Daybreak embraces any chance to keep the local business and economy stimulated. Ben Porcari, President of IBC Digital, is currently animating the short video in his studio in Buffalo, N.Y. IBC Digital’s client list includes HBO Family, Nickelodeon, PBS Kids and Playhouse Disney.
"Drop with Faith represents a great opportunity for a community collaboration between IBC Digital & Daybreak Productions. There is great potential moving forward in leveraging our experience in broadcast animation production and the great demand in the marketplace for quality programming with a positive message."
Daybreak plans on a local, national and international broadcast for "Drop with Faith", a Gabriel award winner in 1995. The story was written by Mary K. Lyon and tells the tale of Crystal, a "drop" who fears change and transforms from raindrop to snowflake and back to raindrop again, and how faith guides her. Original art concept was created by illustrator Franz Herrmann.
"Daybreak has been very successful in creating compelling and meaningful content from documentaries to episodic programming. The Drop With Faith project demonstrates new possibilities for creating dynamic & engaging animated productions for an international audience, all produced right here in Western New York."
